Biography
Lori Bowman is a Registered Nurse and the Program Coordinator for the Utilization Management Program as well as being heavily involved with the Physician Peer Review program at RCHI. Lori graduated from Blinn College with an Associate’s degree in Nursing in 2005 and from Texas A&M University in 1995 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree. Lori initially worked on the Post-Surgical floor prior to becoming a Utilization Review nurse for hospital admissions and concurrent review. With close to 10 years' experience directly in the acute care hospital setting, she has a strong background using InterQual screening criteria for medical necessity review and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and all ancillary team members for opportunities in quality improvement. Lori obtained her certification from Change Healthcare as an InterQual Certified Instructor (IQCI) in 2015 and completes annual training to keep this certification in order to provide quarterly education/training for our UM contracted facilities.
