Biography
Cassity Avila is the Program Coordinator for the Texas A&M Health Rural Engagement Program at the A&M Rural and Community Health Institute. She has an extensive background in CMS quality initiative programs, including Meaningful Use and the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). In her current role, she supports the implementation of technical assistance programs in rural hospitals with the aim of enhancing operational efficiency, quality of care, and financial sustainability. Ms. Avila holds a Master of Science in Education for Health Care Professionals from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Administration and Planning from the University of North Texas.
